Case file — PRJ-004
Umbhaba Eco Lodge.
An eco lodge near Kruger National Park that needed its website to feel like the place: warm, calm and easy to book.
The brief
Lodge websites usually drown the visitor in widgets. Umbhaba wanted the opposite: accommodation, dining and experiences presented simply, with the booking action always in reach.
The build
We designed and built the site around the lodge’s own photography and tone, kept navigation to the essentials, and made sure the booking path works as well on a phone in a game vehicle as it does on a desktop.
Scope of work
- S-01Web development
Hand-built front end on a clean stack: fast to load, documented, and readable by the next developer.
- S-02Website design
Layout, type and imagery composed around the client's own material, not a template's.
The details that mattered
- The lodge's own light. Design built around their photography rather than fighting it with decoration.
- Booking always in reach. One persistent action across every page, sized for thumbs.
- Calm pacing. Generous space and few choices per screen, because that is what the lodge is selling.
Quick answers
Do you build for lodges and hospitality?
Yes, it is one of our home sectors. The pattern is always the same: the property's own photography, calm pacing, booking always in reach.
Can the lodge update the site themselves?
Yes. Rates, rooms and galleries are all editable by the team; that is part of the handover.
