Afrikelp.
A kelp-based biostimulant producer selling through distributors worldwide, with a platform that has to work in every market.
The brief
Afrikelp’s buyers range from farmers to international distributors. The site needed regional content, a distributor finder, and product information detailed enough for agronomists.
The build
We built the corporate platform with region switching, structured the crop and product data so it stays maintainable as the range grows, and made the distributor path impossible to miss.
Scope of work
- S-01Web development
Hand-built front end on a clean stack: fast to load, documented, and readable by the next developer.
- S-02Corporate platform
Region-aware structure with content the in-house team can grow without calling a developer.
The details that mattered
- Distributor-first routing. The find-a-distributor path is unmissable from every page, because that is where revenue starts.
- Crop-by-crop structure. Product guidance organised the way growers think: by what is in the ground.
- Built to expand. New regions and registrations slot into the structure without rework.
Quick answers
What makes a distributor-led site different?
The buyer's next step is a person, not a cart, so the routing to the right distributor leads everything else.
Can the structure grow as we enter new markets?
That was the design constraint: new regions, crops and registrations slot in without rebuilding.
