A programme builder’s toolkit for work-integrated learning, built for Collective X and Harambee to move graduates into employment.
The brief
A work-integrated learning resource hub for Collective X and Harambee — a programme that publishes toolkits, guides and templates for partner organisations. The material changes constantly, and the people who need to publish it are programme staff, not developers. If updating it required a developer, it would go stale within a term.
The build
We built a resource platform the programme team runs themselves: resources added, categorised and published without touching code or waiting for us. The structure holds a growing library without becoming a filing cabinet, and partner organisations reach what they need without a login wall in front of public material.

The details that mattered
- Client-publishable was the requirement. A resource hub that needs a developer to update is a resource hub that goes stale. That was the constraint, not a feature.
- Built to grow. The structure assumes the library doubles. Categorisation holds up when it does.
- Partners first. Organisations arrive looking for one specific toolkit. They should not have to browse a programme to find it.
- No wall in front of public material. If a resource is meant to be shared, a login defeats the point of publishing it.

Yes, that was the core requirement here. Templates and training are part of the handover.

Yes. The craft is information architecture: organising material so the right document is never more than two clicks away.
