Case file — PRJ-013

Mark Perry.

A business coach in Doncaster working with owners and managing directors of manufacturing, industrial and B2B infrastructure firms across South Yorkshire. The whole business runs on one conversation — so the site has one job: get a sceptical MD to book it.

The brief

Coaching is sold on trust and there is no product to photograph. The buyer is a managing director of a £1m–£5m business who has been pitched by consultants before and is wary of the category. The site had to feel credible to an industrial audience rather than a lifestyle one, and it had to make booking an intro call the obvious next step without ever feeling like a funnel.

The build

We put Mark on the page — face, name, town — because in coaching the person is the product. The proof is client results with numbers attached rather than adjectives. A live calendar takes a 30-minute intro call without an email exchange first, and the articles and workshops give a cautious reader a lower-commitment way in.

Scope of work

  • S-01DESIGN

A B2B industrial register rather than a coaching-industry one. Plain, direct, no stock optimism.

  • S-02DEVELOPMENT

WordPress build with the booking calendar embedded in the primary path.

  • S-03CONVERSION

One clear action on every screen: book the intro call.

  • S-04SEO

Local and sector-led — business coaching for manufacturers in South Yorkshire, not generic coaching terms.

The details that mattered

  • The coach is the product. A photograph, a name and a town beat any amount of positioning copy when the thing being bought is a person.
  • Results with numbers. Client outcomes carry figures. In a category crowded with claims, an actual percentage is the differentiator.
  • Booked, not enquired. A live calendar with 30-minute slots removes the email exchange that kills half of all intro calls.
  • A slower door as well. Articles and a monthly insights list give a cautious MD a way in that is not a sales call.

Quick answers

What did the Mark Perry build involve?

Design and development of a WordPress site for a UK business coach: positioning for an industrial and manufacturing audience, an embedded live booking calendar for 30-minute intro calls, client results carrying real figures, an articles and events section, and local SEO for South Yorkshire.

Do you work with clients outside South Africa?

Yes. Mark Perry is in the UK, Cape To Cope Wines sells into Denmark, and EDX is a US platform. We work remotely by default, quote in your currency, and keep to your timezone for calls. Being in South Africa is a cost advantage for you, not a logistics problem.
